Has the Bible replaced the person of Christ as the preeminent figure of worship and authority? Have Christians become so obsessed with the the letter of Christian Law that they have quenched, grieved and ignored the Holy Spirit's role of lordship and leadership in their lives? Have Christians sacrificed intimacy with Christ through the Holy Spirit by exalting the book (Bible) and making it their focus of worship?
We see today a synthesis of two opposite poles of cultural influence-liberal progressive and right-wing conservative clashing on the surface but as thesis and antithesis . However, the truth is that they are colliding into a syntesis of persecution against true people of Christian faith and neither are a genuine representation of scriptural Christianity rather, post-modern heresies which exalt idolatry in diverse forms(e.g. sexual perversion and esoteric spirituality on the left and patriotism and zealotry on the right).
